Events - 2006 STARS Southern Trans Am Regional Show

April 21 - 23 was the annual Trans Am Regional in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. We loaded three of the Depot's TA's and made the 3 ½ hour journey from Tallahassee. The weather was hot but breezy. We unloaded and registered Saturday morning, putting all three cars in the corral.

There were about 75 or so cars on display. We made our rounds and saw some really nice Trans Ams from each generation.

So many TAs, so many choices

Here was an extra nice ‘77 owned and restored by Dana Hartman, of Tampa, FL. Dana has an eBay horror story about the purchase of this car. However, as you can see, the end result of a year long investment of labor and love was worth it all.

Here was a local from Fort Walton Beach. Not satisfied with the performance of the 80 turbo, the owner kicked it up a notch. Cam, aluminum heads, intake, carb.... well, you get the idea. About 450hp.

Talk about clean... Wow ! How many '76s do you see with t-tops?

Remember this George Barris creation?

Yellow anyone?

We joined the cruise for dinner
